Incredible Silos you can rent for a unique vacation!
We absolutely love a good farm stay! The rolling hills and winding pastures make for a serene getaway. You might even get to meet some animal friends. When we were researching some of the most unique barn and “barndominium” vacation rentals, we came across so many converted silos, we knew they needed their own list! We aren’t talking about the underground silos used to store missiles (though we do know of one of those you can rent on Airbnb), but the tall, tower like structures used in agriculture! For years these cylindrical structures have been used to store dry goods used in farming, but several creative hosts have converted their silos into amazing tiny homes and vacation rentals. Some of these you just have to see to believe!
Below we have listed some of the most amazing silos we have seen for rent. These are available for rent on Airbnb or VRBO! These silo rentals definitely make for a more interesting and fun destination than a boring old hotel room! The Silo at Lake Tenkiller

The Silo at Tenkiller Lake is sure to be one of your absolute favorite vacation memories! The Silo is so close to the entrance of Tenkiller state park, and is such a unique getaway. If you feel like staying in, there is a full kitchen for cooking, but you will be close to all the area’s famous eats. After your day of fun exploring the area, there is a fun fire pit to relax around and some comfy beds to come back to. The Grain Bin

Now this a unique accommodation! This silo holds 8 bedrooms that rent separately, each with a private bathroom! Each room features a great view of a beautiful environmental lake, Lake Charlie, private entrance, and lots of privacy. The lake views here are seriously so pretty! Okay, so technically this is cheating, because this silo is attached to a pretty epic barn as well! We absolutely love the interior of this rental! I can imagine coming back to that giant stone fireplace after a long day of skiing! There is a great kitchen, living room, and bedroom in the barn, but the 4 story silo truly will amaze kids and adults alike! As you climb through the silo, you will traverse bathrooms and see the bun bed room at the top! This is truly an epic farm vacation, with over 250 private acres to explore! Dream Rock Silo

This awesome silo dates back to the 1950s and is so much fun! There is a rooftop deck for you to take in the views, and all guests will get to play a game to find a secret compartment! The silo itself is 4 stories tall (and their are stairs to climb), The top two floors are your living spaces. A living room is on the third floor and a private bathroom with a bedroom is on top. The rooms are circular, fitting the original shape of the silo. The bedroom has windows that go all the way around the top for a stunning 360 degree view of the mountains and valley. This awesome dog friendly silo is so neat. It is a combination of two old grain silos on a working farm that have been merged into one of the most unique vacation rentals we have ever seen! This is the perfect home base for you and your dog to explore the beautiful scenery and adorable small towns scattered around this area! Overlooking beautiful pastureland, this converted grain silo is a perfect getaway for those who enjoy a farm setting. This one-of-a-kind rental has everything you need to feel right at home - it is even dog friendly with a fenced in yard for your furry friend. We love the bedroom upstairs that has a ton of natural light and an original hatch that opens for cool air to come in at night. We love, love, love what they have done with the kitchen and bathroom! The Silo is located on 5 private acres so you can truly come here and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I mean how peaceful does that sunset look?! One of the coolest features of this rental has to be the double decker deck built onto the Silo that includes a hanging hammock, swings, and even a claw foot tub! The Silo Cottage at Hocking Hills
New Plymouth, Ohio. 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 2.
Wow! This beauty is the first Silo rental in Hocking Hills and it is so pretty. This place is sure to provide a memorable vacation. This is a tiny house, with only one bedroom, but the soaring ceilings make it feel so much bigger. We just love the detailing inside from the bathroom feature wall to the feature wall behind the TV. The kitchenette is so cute. Outside, there are hammock swings, a fire pit, and even a hot tub to relax in after your busy day of exploring the state park.
