Definitely Seek out this Boutique Inn in Downtown Wilmington, NC!

Right in the heart of Downtown Wilmington, North Carolina lies Stemmerman’s Inn - a fantastic boutique hotel. Completely renovated in 2008, Stemmerman’s Inn is an all suite hotel right in the heart of downtown Wilmington. Surrounded by amazing restaurants, fun activities, and a short walk from the famed Wilmington waterfront, this hotel definitely has a great location. Accommodations

Stemmerman’s Inn is unique in that it is an all suite hotel. All the rooms have a unique two level design, with a townhouse feel. There is a kitchenette, bathroom, and living area on the bottom floor, and a the bedroom is on the top floor. Each suite is designed for two, but there are pull out couches so you could sleep up to four. We found the accommodations to be particularly comfortable. The bathrooms were updated and it was very nice to have natural light from the oversized windows.

While all the suites have the same general amenities - each one has a different layout and stylings - making Stemmerman’s a great candidate for a return trip to downtown Wilmington! There are 7 of these two story suites in total, and they surround the top floor so you can have a unique view of either the waterfront or downtown street. There is even a private patio off the back that allows guests to catch some fresh air! Also - they were very clean - which we definitely appreciated!

Location

Next lets chat about the location! This was definitely the highlight of Stemmerman’s Inn. You definitely cannot beat the location. You are less than a block from the famous Wilmington waterfront and only a few blocks from the heart of downtown. You can walk to literally anything in downtown. During our two nights there, we walked to dinner both nights - once on the waterfront at Elijah’s, and once to Tarantellis. Side note - even though Tarantellis consistently wins awards for their amazing and authentic Italian food - I got a steak with a pistachio gremolata and it was the best steak I haver ever had - anywhere. Also get the filet mignon bruschetta - trust us! It was so amazing to be able to walk to dinner and have a short walk home. We even walked out toddler over to the kid’s museum. There is even a fondue restaurant downstairs and seriously one of the coolest and most delicious coffee shops a few doors down called Cheeky Monkey Coffee.

Interesting Reasons to Seek out this hotel

So we’ve told you about the hotel and talked about some of its unique features in the rooms, and great location, but what makes this hotel a truly unique gem worth Seeking out?! Below we are going to list what makes Stemmerman’s different from all the other hotel options in Wilmington:

• Parking: Yes this hotel includes parking - your own private spot downtown - just a few short steps to the legendary Wilmington Waterfront!

• Hospitality: This was one of the most welcoming hotels we have ever stayed in. The innkeeper, Fran, was constantly available to help with anything we needed. The bathroom was stocked like ours at home (even including emergency feminine products). There was a closet in the hall stocked with tons an extras. It really felt like staying at a family member’s home.

• Group rentals: There is a venue that connects to the hotel that is perfect for weddings or other get togethers and you can block off rooms at the Stemmerman’s for your party to be close to all the action! The venue is called 128 South - definitely check it out!

The Verdict

So, if you can’t tell by how glowing our review so far has been, we definitely think Stemmerman’s Inn is totally worth Seeking out.
