Whatever a cruise vacation looks like to you and your family, or you and your friends, this incredible new ship is taking those ideas to the next level. There are a variety of activities and new features that are sure to wow. Some quick highlights - Icon will feature an entire waterpark at sea! A lot of modern cruise ships have one or two water slides, but Icon will boast six waterslides and an epic line up of 7 different pools. The adrenaline does not stop there, you will be able to compete in rock climbing, play mini golf, take on skates at the ice arena, or even take in the new legendary ropes course 154 feet above the water!

Ofcourse Royal Caribbean’s legendary entertainment options return, including the brand new theater - AquaDome - which takes the spectacle of the Aqua Theater to a whole new level. Check out the photo of that beauty below. There are also 40 bars, restaurants, and lounges on board. There are literally so many options to eat you will have to sail on Icon many times to try them all. One of our favorite new features of Icon of Seas are all the different stateroom categories. Ofcourse the standard balcony, interior, and ocean view staterooms are back, but we cannot wait to check out the family infinity balcony, the family surfside balcony, the sunset corner Suites, and the jaw dropping three story family townhouse! Royal Caribbean is also borrowing from other cruise lines and adding a Suite Neighborhood, with exclusive spaces, pools, and dining for guests staying in one of the many new suite categories.

Icon of the Seas also heralds in the return of the popular Neighborhood concept from the Oasis class ships. Icon will feature 8 distinct neighborhoods onboard. There are some returning favorites with new twists like the lush Central Park, and the fun filled Promenade, but there are also 5 new neighborhoods including the Grove Suite Neighborhood, and the Surfside Neighborhood, perfect for young families and children.

Icon will sail 7 day round trip cruises out of Miami and visit popular destinations like Cozumel, the Bahamas, St. Maarten, and of course Royal Caribbean’s amazing private island Coco Cay. The debut of Icon Class will also mark firsts and the next evolution in Royal Caribbean’s journey toward a clean-energy future. Icon will be the cruise line’s first ship with fuel cell technology and powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), the cleanest-burning marine fuel. Along with other proven applications, such as shore power connection and waste heat recovery systems, the new ship will be the cruise line’s most sustainable to date.
